Letters from Palestinian Children Written to American Children

page 5

Hello, My name is Sharehan.

This letter is for the American children. I am a Palestinian child from a village near Ramallah. It's name is Deir Ibzi'a. We are living under siege. Most of the time we stay inside our houses. We are not happy. On the festival day, the armored vehicles were in front of our houses and we could not go anywhere. On the road to Deir Ibzi'a there is a checkpoint. The Israeli soldiers put it there last year and after that Deir Ibzi'a was put under siege for five months and we cannot move anywhere freely. The Israeli soldiers stop people everywhere and do not allow anybody to come and go anywhere. Thank you.

Greetings,

I am a Palestinian child. I live in the village of Deir Ibzi'a near Ramallah. I live with my family and my neighbors. One day six soldiers were killed on the road at the checkpoint. Since that time the Israeli soldiers put Deir Ibzi'a under siege and did not allow anyone to walk in this village. God willing, Palestine and Jerusalem will be liberated. Thank you to American sons and daughters and I especially thank all the children. Thank you for helping us.

Uslam....... Age 14
